So sorry we've not written in so long, but life is busier here than at home - if you can imagine that! But we're having a blast with all the ladies! First conference was a great success and is now over. And now we're in the middle of conference 2! We were able to travel to Krackow for a night between the conferences. It was about 3 1/2 hours to drive there. The city was SO BEAUTIFUL and so ancient! The architecture was something to behold! Had a wonderful dinner at Italian restaurant while there and stayed in a beautiful hotel. Poland has been celebrating their freedom (Constitution Day) this week, so we've been partying along with them! We are getting along so well...what a magnificent team to be a part of! Lives are changing, women are being fed and edified...and God is being glorified. The people of Poland/Ukraine are SO DEAR, and we love them all so much! Roasted our own polska kielbasa over an open flame! Had Exodus 15 concert (music)
Life is good. Please continue to pray for us and His strength, which is make perfect in weakness! We love and miss you all!

The Team Has Arrived!!

ALL SIX American ladies arrived safely in Poland! All bags arrived, as well! Praise God we had no delays with any of our 3 flights. We are so grateful for God's mercy today, which includes "tomorrow", as we lost 6 hours today! :)

Daniel, Maui, and Ewa greeted us as we arrived from baggage claim. Daniel and Ewa took us on a city tour, while Maui went back to their place to prepare our dinner. Delicious Salad, chicken/pasta, bread, apple strudel. Yummy.

Warsaw is a city with a lot of history, and they were such great tour guides. We were able to stop by a local pottery shop, as well.

We're tired but in great Spirit! To our husbands, kids, and faithful friends we send our love and request your prayers as conference starts tomorrow.

We'll be leaving Maui's home shortly and will be going to the camp, where we'll be holding our ladies' conference and spending the rest of our time in Poland!

Saw the tallest building that has a clock tower in the world! Even taller than Big Ben!

Many Jews are visiting Poland this week, as Holocaust Remembrance Day is this week.

How gracious are the Polish people! We send our love. Thanks be to God all is very well with our entire team!
Love to all, Patsy, Sandie, Jo, Linda, Annette, and Nancy

Welcome to our blog!

Welcome to the 2008 Poland Women's Short-term mission's team BLOG!

This blog was created to ask you to partner with us by being our Prayer Partners! The team leaves Monday, April 28th and will be serving in Poland for a week. Please keep the team in your prayers for safe travel, good health, open hearts of those attending the conference to receive the love of Jesus, and that most of all, God will be glorified through all that is said and done!

*Please note that this blog will only be updated a couple of times while the team is in Poland. They will be busy serving those in Poland. It will not be updated by anyone personally. Once they return they will be able to continue to share stories and pictures of their time in Poland and share all the great things God is doing in the lives of the Polish Women!

Thank You for praying for the 2008 Poland Women's Short-Term mission team.

Father, you say to us in your Word that; those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] shall change and renew their strength and power; they shall lift their wings and mount up [close to God] as eagles [mount up to the sun]; they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired. May (our) hope be in the LORD, may You renew (our) strength. May (we) soar on wings like eagles; may (we) run and not grow weary, and may(we) walk and not be faint. (Scripture taken from Psalm 40:31 AMP/NIV)
